In February, we spent a few days on the North Shore of Oahu. These pictures are from a walk between Turtle Beach and Pua’ena Point Beach Park. It was a beautiful day for a beach walk, and we were lucky enough to come across a sea turtle sunning itself.
Last summer, we had a short visit to Victoria, BC.
Our favorites: A hike up the hill at Mount Douglas for a beautiful view of the city, Jam Cafe for breakfast, a walk around the harbour, and a little shopping around the old streets of downtown.
On a warm fall day near Kenora, we wandered around Tunnel Island Trail. The trail has great views of the Winnipeg River and Norman Dam. We could hear the sounds of wildlife that always seemed to be just around the next corner.
Most of the time, I do a lot of post processing on the computer before I’m happy with my photos. Recently, I’ve spent some time trying to get better photos straight out of the camera. This attempt to improve has included taking some lessons, using a tripod, and experimenting a bit more with light and lenses.
These photos are straight out of the camera, except for a little bit of cropping. Thoughts?
